The photographs are the result of days spent alongside Cesare and Alfredo Bergamini, sharing the rhythm of their work and their life on the River Tiber.
With the same patience that defines their craft, each photograph is born from careful observation, waiting for the right moment, and respecting their pace.
From their well-established routes along the river to eel fishing, from maintaining their fyke nets to gestures handed down through generations.
The project tells the story of an ancient craft, the places that still preserve it, and the humanity of two men who continue to live by the river with undiminished passion.
