BIO

What Photography Means to Me

For me, photography is an act of silent observation.
Black and white street photography is not a casual aesthetic choice, but a conscious decision: by removing color, I strip away the superfluous and reach the essence of things.

I do not photograph the city to document it, but to capture the people who inhabit it — theirgestures, distances, coincidences, and invisible tensions. Black and white allows me to abstract reality, transforming ordinary moments into timeless images where light, shadow, geometry, and above all, humanity take center stage.

For me, photography is:

• waiting, more than acting
• intuition, more than construction
• question, more than answer

I do not seek the spectacular shot, but the truthful one. One that lasts a moment and often goesunnoticed by those who do not know how to look.

Street photography thus becomes almost an inner practice: I walk, I observe, I blend into the crowd, and when I press the shutter, I do not interrupt the scene — I respect it. Black and white reinforces this discretion, this ethical and emotional distance, turning each image into a small act of attention toward the world.

È guardare senza invadere, raccontare senza spiegare, mostrare senza giudicare.

For me, photography is a way of being in the world.

It is about looking without intruding, telling without explaining, showing without judging.
It transforms everyday life into visual memory, allowing me to let images — rather than words — speak.

I have the privilege of having been born in Rome (Italy), a city that has — without doubt — deeply fascinated and influenced me. I believe its unique blend of light, people, architecture, history and future makes me a very fortunate photographer. I discovered photography at the age of ten and have always felt like a street photographer. It is an emotion I never stop feeling when I look at the world through the eye of my camera, and it is simply incredible… after so many years!
